Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Today i upgraded to W8. After reinstalling Visual Studio 2012
i get message above when installing visualmicro
Any ideas?

Yes we run a .net3.5 installer so .net 3.5 needs to be enabled as follows:-

Control Panel. In Control Panel, choose Programs and Features, choose Turn Windows features on or off, and then select the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) check box

On my Win 8.1 PC, the option to enable .NET 3.5 could not be found by searching for "customise features."  Instead, I was able to find directions for enabling .NET 3.5 using the Windows Control panel at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh506443%28v=vs.110%29.aspx
