I get the same error message, but the solution above does not solve the problem.

I have checked the installation*. The  Configuration Manager and Registry entry seems 100% correct.
Started  Atmel Studio as Administrator, and the Output Micro System Trace seems OK. But NO  Arduino boards can be found.
Opening a new file: File->New-> File:  The Arduino Option DOES NOT shows up.
Making new file in the Sketch folder is possible: File->New-> Sketch Project: The file name (fn1) can be entered, but then I get The Error: 'Unable to create an Arduino Project for Atmel Studio' .
(Looking into my Sketch folder the file (fn1) excists, containing 'setup' and 'loop', and it copiles OK with Arduino IDE.)
Trying to open the file: File->Open->Sketch Project:  File (fn1) shows up, but if I try to open it I get the The Error above.
I have copies Configuration Manager setting, Micro System Trace, Registry entry, if needed.

Hope somebody can help.  Thank You.

*) Installation on Vista Business:  Arduino IDE 1.0.5 tested OK, Amel Studio 6 (Version 6.1.2730-SP2) and Visual Micro installed. Insatallation very  slow but no error message.

Hello Jorzo,

Thank you for emailing the screen shot.

The problem is that you have set the path location including the "arduino.exe".

Please remove "\arduino.exe" from the path because Visual Micro only needs the folder path without .exe

We will make this clearer in the next release to avoid this confusion.

Thank you

Thank you very much for quick resolution of the problem!
Visual Micro and VS is new to me. It looks very good, and I am looking forward to try it out.
