Code completion and itellisense

Hi all,

I am evaluating VM plugin in Atmel Studio 6.1 and code completition and intellisense do not work. I was under impression that it would work in Atmel Studio also (compared to Visual Studio).

Is there a couple of parameters that would be incorrectly set - the are zillions of them   Huh ?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes you are right intellisense and code completion should work in .pde and .ino source code.

The Visual Micro installer is responsible for setting the registry keys to ensure this happens. Please run the un-install of Visual Micro and then run the install again.

When you uninstall and reinstall Visual Micro your personal settings will not be lost. You can uninstall via the installer or via Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs>Visual Micro

That usually fixes the problem if not then I can give you another solution.

Thanks

Hi Tim,

I did unistall and reinstalled and now it works fine  Smiley. Some explanations about the whole process. Before I installed Atmel Studio, I had downloaded the plugin from your site. I the installed Atmel Studio and upon the initial run, I was suggested to have a look at the plugins. Since I found in the list Visual Micro, I installed it from within Atmel Studio. That was version 1.1309.11.

I uninstalled from the Control Pannel, but reinstalled from the .MSI I had downloaded. Same version 1.1309.11.

Could it make a diffrecence whether the plugin is installed from within Atmel Studio or from outside (Atmel Studio not running) ?

Thanks

Hi thanks for the feed back. No it doesn't make any difference however I suspect that either the first time atmel is run after install or the next it replenishes the settings and dumps the Vm changes.

I'm not really sure but we will nail it asap!
