Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Hello
Since a few days I can’t  use the debugger Visual Micro 
I always have this answer:

Error : The specified service does not exist as an installed service. (Exeption de HRESULT : 0x80070424)
Please Wait
Acquiring  full licence…

In French
Error : Le service spécifié n’existe pas en tant que service installé. (Exeption de HRESULT : 0x80070424)

what is this malfunction ? 
How to fix it, make it work again ?

I pay the licence for both last year

It is also always writing << NOT REGISTRED>> in Tools/Option/visual micro/general, 
even with the license number

Hi,

Sorry to hear about these problems.

Please ensure that the windows event log is enabled and also the Windows Management Instrumentation service is running. Both of these services should be enabled as standard with windows.

Please also confirm the version of windows and visual studio you are using.

end Visual Studio is :
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
Version 9.0.21022.8 RTM
Microsoft .NET Framework
Version 3.5 SP1

Visual Micro Arduino
Copyright Visual Micro 2009

Where  are windows event log  ? 
and  Windows Management Instrumentation ? 
What  that means this naughty << Debugger Status : NOT REGISTERED >> ? in option Visual Macro General  Angry

Hi 

NOT REGISTERED means you have not entered a license key for the debugger or the key has not yet been accepted.

You should find them under "control panel > services".

I write in both places, 
Each time I start a new project, I have to write it with the window property Enable Debugging or Debug Micro 
it has worked before(since I buy the license, 02/21/2014) 
and now not any more !  Angry

What do i have to watch in the windows services ?  Sad
what service should be started for the Visual Micro debugger ?

Hi there,

There are no visual micro services. 

The problem you are having is that a windows service is not started or that your windows registry has a problem or that your windows needs repair.

I am sorry to be so vague this is unique for Visual Micro because it is a windows problem

We know the debugger activated in the past so the question is what has happened to your pc since that time?

I found the error you have reported on the Microsoft Community web site. Please see this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968002

Information

To perform registration Visual Micro uses the windows "event log" service and the window WMI database.

Please keep us posted if you discover anything else that might be useful

I have removed it and reinstalled, now it works perfectly, 
Visual Micro helps me a lot, is a good product.
