Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

problem with visual studio 2013

Hi, till now I worked in VS2012, but I want to upgrade to vs2013.
By testing, I notice that everything is fine, but the only thing that is missing is File==> new arduino project. 
I am sure that everything is installed as it should be. Everything is there (for example the TOOLS-menu, the toolbar, the correct settings for arduino configuration), only the possiblity to start a new arduino project is missing.
Someone could give me advise please?

Hi,

Please click "tools>visual micro>reset user interface". The Ide should then auto re-start and the menus will appear

I also tried that, but no result.
I even uninstalled visualmicro and re-installed it.

Then one of two answers ...

1)
This might be related to the user interface scheme you picked for visual studio when it first started. Do you have a File>New menu and a File>Open menu? Can you email an image of your ide window with file menu dropped down to info[at]visualmicro.com

If this is the case then you can add the command yourself by clicking Tools>Customise. Select the File Menu then add the respective Visual Micro command from the "Addin" commands list.  The ones you want are at the top of the list.

2)
The other issue might be permissions. Please edit your visual micro short cut to include the /resetaddin command as shown below.

"[path to devenv.exe]" /resetaddin Visual.Micro.Visual.Studio.Arduino.Helper

Then right click the short cut and run as administrator

Nr 1 did the trick. I have customized the menu and now I can start a new sketch.
