Visual Micro and Windows 7 users

Windows 7 64 bit.
I have installed Atmel 6.2 as "administrator". I then switch over to a "user" and it works fine.

I have also installed Visual Mirco on top of Atmel as "administrator" and have tested it. It asked me to enter a 30 day trial period.

However when I switch over to "user", Visual Micro does not exist on the Atmel Studio. Trying to install it again from "user" results in error messages "please insert disk".

Is there a fix for this?

Hi, that is a windows installer error message suggesting that your "user" does not have permissions to the local file system.

You might be able to make it work by adding the location of the visual micro program files to tools>options>environment>addin/macros security>locations

Adding this path is one of the tasks the Visual Micro installer attempts to perform. It might then be that everything works such as compile/upload except color syntax source code. In which case I can give you a reg file to fix it.
