Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

does not install in Visual Studio 2015 Beta

I’m having trouble installing the visual micro software.  I’m running windows 10 tech preview with visual studio 2015. When I download the ArduinoForVisualStudio and run the .exe it installs and when I open visual studio no configuration manager pops up. When I open the program file in there’s a micromanager.exe that also does nothing any help on this matter would be appreciated.

We have no release a 2015 version yet. Expected release is January 2015

Please install vs2013

What would I have to do to get it to work I'm pretty sure they'd be backwards compatible considering how similar it is to 2013

Yes normally it would be very easy but Microsoft have discontinued addins for 2015 so we are converting to an extension which is not a huge task but requires some time and testing.

+ 2015 is not for general use, not supported by Microsoft and is not recommend to be installed or used in live environments so the less we speak of it then the less new users will be confused and think they are missing out on the right solution.

Visual Studio 2013 is the newest and most stable so recommended

It's possible we will release a preview for the preview within the next few weeks. Follow in the new release section of the forum if you keep 2015 and want to try it out with vm. Thanks
