I am using VM in Atmel Studio but would like to try Microsoft Visual Studio. Is it OK to have both Microsoft Visual Studio and Atmel Studio with VM installed on the same PC?

Hi,

Yes it is fine. The visual micro installer installs for all versions and they can all run at the same time.

Visual micro won't show up in vs after you install it because the visual micro installer sets a registry key to tell vs where it is installed.

So after installing a new vs ide, with all ides closed run the visual micro install and click remove, then run again and click install (or use control panel add/remove programs)

Or add the location of the Visual micro program files folder (contains .addin files) to "tools>options>environment>macros and security>addin lookin folder"
