No Programmers Available Under Tools->Visual Micro (Arduino 1.0.x) (Read 5003 times)

	Sigh. I've had everything working for a couple years, but the inevitable disk-death required that I start over and re-install everything that I've been using for ages. I KNOW this is going to be something dumb, but....for some reason when I try to select my programmer the "Programmer" option on the tools menu is grayed out. Do I need to stuff a programmers.txt file somewhere special?

	Hi, More recent versions of Arduino have a programmers list relative to the selected hardware. Visual Micro does the same however for customer hardware you might need to copy a file. Having said that, due to a bug, that you also need to have a sketch project open to see the correct list for the selected board/hardware. So two questions:- What board have you selected Have you got a project open, if not please open one, then look at the programmers list again? Thanks

	The board is Arduino Nano w/ ATMega328 I do have a project open, no programmers in the list! BTW: the Arduino tools do see the programmer and are able to use it. I'll bet anything I've messed up a configuration entry somewhere!

	If you switch to a different board in Visual Micro, then switch back to the nano again do the programmers appear? Which version of the Arduino ide do you have installed? Thanks

	Success! Switching to another board instantly made the programmers appear, and after switching back to the correct board the programmers were still available (and it even uploads correctly). Many thanks! (oh, and to answer the second question: we're still in the dark ages of 1.0.2 but that's another story )
