Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

reinstalling the VisualMicro plugin for VS

Hello,

My Windows 8.1 machine died last week and I'm attempting to reinstall my dev tools. I believe I'd copied the VisualMicro installer to a remote folder; but, can't seem to find it. Can you refresh my memory as to the name of the installer?

I believe I found the installer (ArduinoForVisualStudio.msi). However, when I attempt to run it, I see the following error: "Error 1001. InstallUtilLib.dll: Unknown error."

Any thoughts as to the cause and the resolution?
