Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Location of "Application Ide locations" does not get saved

When I click on the "Click to configure IDE locations" it opens up a window where it shows the correct location of the ide (c:\Program files (x86)\Arduino) and even though I click OK and get out. The next time I open Tools>Options>Visual Micro>
It still shows as "Click to configure IDE locations" in the place where it should show "c:\Program files (x86)\Arduino"
And also it does not show anyboards in the place next to where it shows "Arduino 1.6"

Hi,

The message is always there because you can configure multiple ide locations.

Which version of Arduino is installed in program files?

Okay, 1.6.2 has some quirks in as much as it didn't cater for older board defs and doesn't include avr boards as standard. In 1.6.3 Arduino matured the new system and I suspect that Visual Micro is ignoring 1.6.2.

We will issue a patch but probably for Visual Studio 2012+ and the soon to be released Atmel Studio 7. In the meantime please point Visual Micro to a more recent release of the Arduino Ide such as the current 1.6.5r2

I did install the latest Arduino IDE and now it seems to be ok now. Thanks loads
