Hi,

I'm using Atmel Studio 1.6 and trying to open a project for the Atmega1284p that I created in the Arduino IDE, which for the Arduino IDE, i had to add a board profile. HOw do that, or see the change, in Visual Micro for this AVR?

Thanks
Tony

Hi Tony

Click "File>Open>Arduino Project" which allows you to open the .ino of the arduino project. Visual Micro should automatically set the project up for you in atmel studio.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I should have been more clear. Yes, I'm able to open the project, however, I'm unable to set the correct processor in Visual Micro. Specifically, I'm using the Atmega1284p processor at 16MHz. How do I set that?

Thanks
Tony

Hi,

Can you see the list of arduino boards on the tool bar or visual micro menu?

Are you saying the board is not in the list?

If it is not in the list can you open the Micro "Explorer>Configure" and confirm that the optional sketchbook folder location   is empty?

Please also confirm the version of the arduino ide you are using and the version of atmel studio you are using.

Thanks
