Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

I'm having the same problem, and I can't seem to find the permissions Meach is referring to. I set the installer to have full access permissions and it still silently fails to install the extension. The only VS tool I have installed on this machine is Atmel Studio 7.0.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium on an HP desktop, FWIW.

Hi,

Can you please confirm the vsix file is associated to the visual studio 2015 installer (that's v14)?

That you have right clicked and selected "run as administrator"

Also confirm the url from where you downloaded the vsix

Hi,

If you check the attachment, you can see where I found this "Run this program as an administrator" option.
