Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Help

I upgraded to latest version from previous version and NOW my toolbar buttons are greyed out.
Build, build and run, and stop.

HELP! I am now blocked.  thank you

What is your version "tools>extensions and updates>visual micro/arduino"?

very unhappy that the upgrade broke.....

installed 1512.23.0  12/23/2015 from the previous version of a few days ago.

Am totally blocked.

The latest is 1512.23.1 please install and let me know if that fixes it.

ok, the ide said that .0 was the latest. i downloaded .1 from yor site and it fixed it.

What was wrong?  Please add to your unit tests so that this bug wont appear again.  thank you.

still broken.

The toolbar buttons Run, Stop and ShowSerial Debug - their state is no longer synched to the action in progress.

for example

if i click RUN button, the stop button does not get enabled nor does the serial debugger appear.

Hi,

All other users have reported the problem in the last version is resolved so I am going to assume you have a different issue.

You haven't said which Ide version you are using or given any history so I will ask a few questions:-

1) Which version of vs?

2) If you are using VS2012 or 2013 have recently switched from the older Add-in version of Visual Micro to the new Extension version (which also supports vs2015)?

3) Please show a screen shot with code editor open code or project open in the solution explorer

vs 2012. nothing had changed except for me upgrading your code from last week to this week.

here is screen shot after pressing PLAY green button, and your code builds and uploads, yet the serial monitor not show on screen nor the STOP button not enabled.

You mean the debugger has not started. That's why stop and serial are not showing.

Please show an image of the visual micro menu

see attached again. I press button BUILD and UPLOAD and it did not start the debugger - this error appeared in this weeks upgrade to your code.

I asked for a picture of the "VISUAL MICRO" menu that drops down from the top of the ide

I would also like to see the "TOOLS" menu

You have given two pictures of the ide. I want to see the menu please.

You have switched off "Automatic Debugging" on the Visual Micro menu. 

That is the reason your serial window is not opening automatically and debug is not starting.

Turn it back on and it will work again.

thanks much. I didnt switch it off.  the upgrade process must have done it when it also lost the serial baud rate.

No the upgrade didn't switch off "Automatic Debugging" otherwise lots of users would have reported it + I know there isn't any code to change the option automatically and it's stored in the same place your ide location settings are stored.

The baud rate is a possibility if you were using an early version of the new format Visual Micro extension.
