Hallo,

I have Windows 10, IDE 1.6.8, Atmel Studio 7.
Can I installed Visual Micro oder not?

Or works only with MS Visual Studio?

Give it a newer version of visual micro für actual IDE and AS7?

Old version is probably okay but 1.6.8 might be a problem for some hardware. Normal Arduino boards probably okay.

There is a new release of Visual Micro for Atmel Studio 7 but the VSIX installer is refusing to work with it. Atmel still uses the old Visual Studio 2010 V1 installer system but Visual Micro uses the 2012 V2 installer. It's crazy because Atmel Studio 7 is Visual Studio 2015.

The Atmel gallery also only supports the old v1 format so it's a support nightmare Smiley

There is an update for AS7 here

The gallery and installer issues are fixed with the help of atmel so AS7 is back in the main build process.

Over the next few days an update will be published to the atmel gallery. The update will support "deep search (conditional) includes and also source code in sub folders. Those two newish features are not in this release
