Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....

Visual Micro can't open COM port after update Visual Studio to 15.5.4 and 15.5.5

After update to version 15.5.4 visual micro can not open COM port, it programming device without any problem but can't open port after that. Any other program do it without problem (e.g Port monitor built into Ardudino IDE). Update to the version 15.5.5 did not solve the problem. I used 3 different devices, and there was the same problem with everyone (ESP12 and ESP32 module). Since the problem occured, i did:
- update and reinstall VS,
- update device drivers,
-reinstall Windows, VS and all drivers,
and it still did not help. Before update VS everything worked well. It works fine with Arduino Uno.

What is the name, date and time of the USB driver in Device Manager?

Hi,
i read the solution to the problem at the following link:

and the problem was solved by installing different drivers. Thank you for help. I think the topic can be closed.

Windows 10, latest version - 10.0.16299, Build 16299
Silabs driver version: 6.7.5.1893
Sometimes when i want to flash device i had errors in transmission - i use baudrate 921 600, in this case my esp just need only to be restart and all works fine again.
