Unable to select HID device for Teensy 3.2

Hi,
I am using VS2019 and VM with TeensyDuino for XPlane flight simulator. I have to set serial type as "Flightsim" which turns it into a HID device and it does not show in the port dropdown. Is there a way to connect to a HID serial port? Works fine in Arduino IDE.

Thank you,
James

Hello,

I purchased Visual Micro a few weeks back for $99. I have a support question regarding com ports. Where do I go to get my paid for support?

Issue:
I use Visual Micro to program the Teensy 3.2 within VS2019. I use TeensyDuino which can be found here:

https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/td_download.html

For the Teensy programming port I use the USB type "USB  Flight Sim”. This turns it into a USB Serial device and DOES NOT show up in the Visual Micro port dropdown.

How do I set up Visual Micro in order to see my Teensy so I can upload to it?

This works fine in the default Arduino IDE.

Thank you,
James

Ah sorry we missed this.

You are trying to use a Virtual COM port which the arduino ide does not support directly. When you installed Teensy for Arduino it overwrote some Arduino IDE sources so that it can allow its Virtual Serial ports to work.

Visual Micro does not yet support Virtual COM ports but it is high up on our list and hopefully available shortly.  Maybe over the next few weeks/month.
