Completely clean installation

Hi,
I am giving another try on visual micro, meaning I have installed vmicro before on both msvc2019 & 2022.
Now only focussing on 2022 version.

What I had :
MSVC 2022 preview with vmmicro installed.

What I did :
Uninstalled vmicro, uninstalled 2022 preview.
Fresh install 2022 latest version, install vmicro from extensions.

I configured visual micro ald(no ide) with my directories.
But I was not able to get to get a platform/setting for a project.

Again uninstalled vmicro getting error show in file vmicro.log
Uninstalled 2022.
Reinstalled 2022
Added vmicro.

But when checking "old settings" (directories, platform urls,  etc) are still in place.

I'd like to have a completely fresh install of vmicro, no old settings/options.

How would I achieve that ?

It is not clear what "old settings" you are talking about.

The file you have atteched relates to installation of extensions into Visual Studio.

Please give more information about the exat paths you are seeing that you want changed?

The file I included is created when I uninstall vmicro.
There is an errormessage when doing that, see vmuninst.png).

When I reinstall vmicro (even in a freshly installed msvc2022, I have configuration setting from previous installations. See an example of that in vmoptions.png.

As I have trouble getting vmicro running correctly, I wanted to get a fresh install, no options/settings from earlier. I think that is the best way to 1/understand settings correctly, 2/understand why something doesn't work as expected.

Edit :
Is it correct that I need to have the trial started before I can configure/edit a project ?
If so, that is (one of) the reason(s) I cannot get it started.

Tried to start evaluation but get the error "activation limit exceeded for this TRIAL key" .
Don't think I evaluated vmicro2022 before, maybe I did with vmicro2019 but that should be a long time ago

You can clear the IDE Locations either on that screen (and use the dropdown to reset each one), or you can delete the values below this registry key:
Code
Select All
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Visual Micro\Options\Locations

Also ensure the sketchbook location in the Arduino IDE is set as you need it, as vMicro will inherit this if the sketchbook location is not overridden.

If you are experiencing specific issues with compilation or specific projects, set the options shown at the top of the page and attach the build output so we can assist more easily.
