Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
 
Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Hi
To execute a prebuild command I have added a boards.txt files as mentioned in https://www.visualmicro.com/page/Arduino-Build-Events-and-Hooks.aspx

While editing the file till it did what I need, I realized that changes to it only make it into the next build process if I restart Visual Studio before building. If I just edit boards.txt and start the build it will always use the old version of boards.txt.

Can this be fixed?

Pleas install the latest version (25.0120.0) from the top of the board below, which should now not need a restart to use updates in the board.txt file:
