In releases since 2023.0507.1 Visual Micro's Intellisense system has been upgraded to use tools which understand the embedded code of your board fully.
This means you get the right code hints, suggestions and errors all of the time, without the need for any manual configuration or workaround.
Migrating to the New Intellisense System
Software Update
Install the latest version of Visual Micro from our Downloads Page, or from the Microsoft Marketplace.
Project Migration
If you are starting a new project, no migration is required as all templates and project creation routines in Visual Micro now use the new improved system.
All Projects which are shown as ending with "(Arduino)" in Solution Explorer are in the new format.
- Open your project in the latest version of Visual Micro
- Click the vMicro > Convert Solution To Latest Format (Affects Arduino Project(s) Intellisense Only. Required!)
- A prompt will be shown to confirm you wish to do this, click Yes.
- Once this has completed your project will automatically be re-opened and the new Intellisense System will be in use.
